1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair is pleased to announce the galleries exhibiting in its fifth London edition, taking place at Somerset House, 5–8 October. Striving to promote a diverse set of African perspectives from around the world, 1:54 has carefully selected 42 leading galleries specialising in contemporary African art from 18
1-54 London returned for its sixth edition at Somerset House between the 4-7 October 2018. The fair welcomed 18,000 visitors across five days, showcasing 43 leading international galleries and over 130 artists from Africa and its diaspora.

Sixteen galleries are from Africa; Three are based in the United States (Burning in Water, James Cohan, and Yossi Milo Gallery); and 12 galleries are participating in 1-54 London for the first time. About 25 percent of the galleries are dedicating their entire booths to one artist.
